After a long hibernation, Vitamin Tramp returns with two succinct sets of songs that chronicle the daily motions and thoughts of two guys approaching forty. Sometimes mundane, sometimes insane, Vitamin Tramp Turns Forty presents power pop wrapped stories of inner voices present, good times past, and light commentary on today's society. Now firmly entrenched in Texas after migrating from New England, Turns Forty was written and recorded over the past three years as the band collaborated in their home cities of San Antonio and Dallas. This effort also marks the first time the Tramp handed over the recording reigns to someone outside the band, working with Jack Shirley (Jeff Rosenstock, Deafheaven) in Oakland California.

Ten years after releasing a double-album where songs were segmented by their sonic qualities, this time each principle Tramp gets their own storytelling turn, as Dave wrote and assembled "Too Little", with Ralph constructing "Too Late". Ralph and Dave continued to rely on their over 20 years of musical partnership to flesh out each others’ ideas, combining to play nearly every instrument on every track. The result is an energetic blend of rock, pop, grunge and punk that wears their influences on their sleeves. And as they turn 40, the sleeve of that old rock and roll T-shirt is well worn, a little tattered, and really, really comfortable.
